Open Hearts

I went on a retreat called “Free the Fire” last weekend.

I was a leader and led a group of sophomores on their journey of getting to know God and their relationship with Him.

At first, the students in my family were very shy, afraid to open up to each other. However, throughout the three days, it was so precious to see their hearts open up to one another and God.

I wondered, “What got them to broaden their trust and tell each other touching stories?”

During the days, I thought how frightening it must be for them to admit certain feelings to strangers. But, I’m proud the majority of them were able to do that.
